Graduation
Graduates

At the beginning of your last term of study you must apply for graduation. It is the student’s responsibility to take appropriate steps to graduate:

Steps to Graduation:

  1. Apply to graduate (using the appropriate form, as indicated below) by the deadline for the term. The deadline date is shown on the application materials for that term.
  2. Pay your graduation fee (as indicated in graduation application materials).
  3. Order graduation regalia (caps and gowns, et.al.) at the University Bookstore by the deadline.
  4. Complete all course work and exams for the semester.
  5. Ensure there are no outstanding balances on your student account (by checking via AppalNET)
  6. Attend Commencement Ceremonies, which are conducted at the end of spring and of fall terms
  7. Your diploma will be mailed to you at the address provided on your graduation application.

For Undergraduate Students: A degree audit is generally sent to undergraduate students 1-3 terms prior to their last term of enrollment. Students must ensure they know what courses are necessary to graduate. Questions regarding the degree audit may be directed to the cohort’s Program Manager. The application for graduation is mailed to undergraduate students at the beginning of their last term.

For Graduate Students: The application for graduation is available online at the Cratis D. Williams Graduate School site of Forms for Enrolled Students. Any questions concerning examinations and/or thesis submissions required for graduation should be directed to the cohort’s Academic Coordinator.
