Graduate Degree and certificate programs and degree-related
courses are offered at an increasing number of off-campus
locations including the Winston Salem State University
Graduate Center, various regional community colleges,
and selected public school facilities. Additionally, certain
programs are delivered entirely via the web.
Courses and programs are offered predominantly in cohort-based,
sequential course offerings which lead to a degree, certification,
and/or teaching licensure. All students are provided access
to University library services.
All graduate-level courses offered for academic
credit are taught by Appalachian State University faculty
who hold graduate faculty rank. While there is no specific
number of courses required to be taken on the Appalachian
campus, some courses in certain programs are delivered only on campus (and the off-campus cohort is made aware of any need for on-campus enrollment during the initial stages of beginning the program).
