Educational Specialist (Ed.S.) in Higher Education, Adult
Education
This program prepares individuals at the Master of Arts or
Educational Specialist levels in assessing adult learning needs
and in planning, implementing and administering classes or
programs for adults. Another purpose is to prepare students
for further study in the field of adult education.
Graduates of the program
in Adult Education may qualify for positions in organizations
which develop educational programs for adults who are served
by or employed within organizations and agencies geared for
life-long learning such as colleges and universities, community
colleges, business and industry, community service agencies,
military services and govermental bodies.
Through the Office of Extension and Distance Education, the Reich College of Education provides this degree program at selected off-campus settings in western NC. (For a listing of locations of upcoming programs, see Proposed New Programs.)
